Wonderful people enjoying an exceptional place – once again, warm Graz hospitality with “AHHH” inspiring beauty combining to overwhelm me with gratitude to be surrounded with so many loving, dedicated students – together – we share learning and practicing to create another memorable and enjoyable journey toward greater health and understanding.
After nearly a full day’s journey traveling from San Francisco to Frankfurt, then continuing on to Graz, my body was tired – ahh doner & ahh doner - but my heart raced with anticipation – excited to reconnect with old friends – and meet new friends and fellow practitioners. With my Santa Cruz traveling buddy MaryBeth – we rest for a few days, readjust our body clocks; every year I notice it takes a little longer to make the Austrian dawn seem less like midnight in California my body thinks it still is, and to get my brain to accept the fact that when Graz clocks chime eight times to indicate it is morning – it really IS time to start our daily practice. Eight hours difference seems longer every year!
Slowly the beautiful Austrian skies reveal a beautiful verdant green countryside as welcoming as our hosts and students. Soon other Californian and American friends join MaryBeth and I as we walk the cobblestone walkways, stare back at the architectural faces of the old stone buildings as we begin our Graz practice retreat workshop together with friends gathered together from around the world.
We are headed out now to explore – Thank You for checking in with me – I promise to update you later and report back – can’t tell you when tho! Just had to share how warm and special our 2013 Graz retreat has been – like Nazzzies for our hearts and souls!
Love & Light to all – Mitra
